ExcuseLab (“we,” “us,” or “this site”) is a free tool for generating excuses, for entertainment purposes. This page explains what happens when you use the site.

What we don’t collect

ExcuseLab doesn’t require an account, sign-up, or any personal information to use. We don’t store the excuses you generate, and nothing you type or select on this site is saved to a profile tied to you.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site – for example, which categories or modes are most popular, and how many people visit. This uses cookies and collects anonymized, aggregated data such as your general location (country/city level), device type, and browsing behavior on this site. It does not identify you personally.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies won’t affect your ability to use the excuse generator.

Advertising

ExcuseLab does not currently show ads. If that changes in the future, this page will be updated to explain what advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) collect and how, before any ads go live.

Third-party links

If any page links out to third-party sites or tools, we’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We’d recommend checking their own privacy policy if you visit them.

Children’s privacy

ExcuseLab is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes – for example, if advertising or new features are added. Check back here if you have questions about what’s current.
